Status of the app
GospelArc is in development and not yet on the App Store. There is no public beta and no release date. All study content in the app is machine-drafted and awaits review by qualified historians, theologians and editors before release; the app marks it “Editorial draft” until then.
Independence and trademarks
No church, religious institution or Bible publisher has endorsed GospelArc. Apple does not endorse the app or any interpretation in it. Names of saints, places, institutions and works are used only to identify the subject of a journey or a source.
Apple, iPhone, iPad, iCloud and Safari are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries and regions. App Store is a service mark of Apple Inc.
Bible text
The Bible text in GospelArc is the World English Bible in Catholic book order (eng-web-c), from eBible.org. eBible.org states that the World English Bible is in the public domain and that “World English Bible” is a trademark of eBible.org; see its copyright page. The app does not change the wording; its Bible Text & Licenses screen lists what was changed in laying the text out and what was left out.
Sources and study content
Journeys, dossiers, connections, reflections and recall questions were written for GospelArc. They are editorial paraphrase and interpretation, machine-drafted, and they can contain errors. They are for study, not professional, legal, medical or pastoral advice, and they are not the teaching of any church. Historical sources appear in the app as editorial paraphrase, with citations and links, and a few with a short extract in their original language; the linked pages belong to their publishers.
